1980
Via a
Cheltenham hotel we camped on a farm site on the north coast
of Cornwall. Became experts at finding the only child-friendly
pubs for miles around. |

1981
St Jean
de Monts in the Vendée was our first experience of camping
in France. Excessive sun and French 'real' food (sheep's brain
and wriggling shellfish). |

1982
Argentat
on the Dordogne was a 'castle' campsite. 1000 miles from North
Berwick. It was arguably the best site we've been in with great
Bastille Day fireworks too. |

1983
Fiona
is cutting the birthday cake in front of our tent by the side
of Derwent Water in Keswick. Tried our hands at windsurfing with
Ian almost making a success of it. |

1984
The chateaux
of the Loire eventually came into our near-sights. Camping by
the Loire we enjoyed the delights of our first municipal campsite
and swimming pool. |

1985
The first
year our holiday (camping in the Jura mountains) didn't include
Jennifer. The picture shows us Easter egg hunting with the Stewarts
in St Andrews. |
